The Reformed church
The reformed church of Pădureni was built with the help of Szutsáki Ferenc and his wife, Kabos Klára. The works started in the period between 1783 and 1789 and were supervised by master craftsman Türk Antal. The frontispiece of the church is with arches and pillars, with stuccos on the portico and Ionic pilasters on the tower. In the interior we can observe a gallery for the organ, set on two pillars. Above the windows there is the slot for the clock, the frieze of the clock and the cupola. The planks necessary for the floor arrived on the river Mureș, by raft. The most valuable part of the furniture is the set of 34 maple- and lime wood benches, carved with rich decorations by Balogh Mihály in 1788.
