The Teleki Castle
The castle is one of the most beautiful empire style buildings in Transylvania. Built by the aristocrats of the same name, it still holds its original charm and beauty. The most important element of the Teleki castle of Glodeni is already seen from the road: among the trees one can observe an immense coat of arms of the Teleki family, carved in stone. The castle was built in 1872 by count Teleki Domokos, in empire style, surrounded by an immense courtyard and a romantic park, after the model of the aristocratic courts around Budapest. The main entrance was marked by Corinthian columns, the interior stairway and the parking lot of the carriage were elements of baroque style, and the saloons very large, decorated with miniature statues.
